Right brain – left brain
In general, the left hemisphere controls speech, comprehension, arithmetic, and writing. The right hemisphere controls creativity, spatial ability, artistic, and musical skills. But since writing is usually a combination of many different aspects including visual feedback, motor skills, language and creativity, many regions of the brain activate while writing.
