Are you a Rubik’s Cube enthusiast looking for your next challenge? Look no further than the Mid Summer Cube Competition 2023! This event is sure to test your skills and provide an exciting opportunity to compete with fellow cubers.

What is the Mid Summer Cube Competition 2023?

The Mid Summer Cube Competition 2023 is a speedcubing event that brings together cubers from all over the world. The competition includes a variety of events, including the classic 3×3 cube, Pyraminx, Skewb, and 2×2, as well as more challenging cubes like the 4×4 and One Hand 2×2.

Who can participate in the event?

Anyone passionate about Rubik’s Cubes and speedcubing can participate in the Mid Summer Cube Competition 2023. This includes both seasoned cubers and newcomers to the world of speedcubing. Ages up to 16
The Age Groups for the event are divided into 3 groups.

Group 1 Up to  7 years
Group 2 8 to 11 years
Group 3 12 to 16 years
When and where is the event taking place?

The Mid Summer Cube Competition 2023 is taking place on April 15th & 16th, 2023, on an Online Platform. The Prize distribution ceremony will be held post-completion of the competition. Please add cubingheat@gmail.com to your contacts to prevent the emails from going to spam. Additionally,

What are the Events I can participate in?

There are 6 cubing events scheduled for MSCC2023. They are scheduled as follows

Day 1 – 15th April 2023, Saturday Day 2 – 16th April 2023, Sunday
1)   2×2 4)   Skewb
2)   3×3 5)   Pyraminx
3)   OH 2×2 6)   4×4

What are you ready to compete in?

What is OH 2×2?

“OH 2×2” or One Handed 2×2 is a brand new event where you must solve the 2×2 cube with just one hand. In this event, you are allowed to only use one of your hands to hold and turn the layers and cannot switch hands during the solve.

Are there any Prizes? If so, How many?

There are a total of 90 Medals and Trophies to be won!!

All participants will get an E – certificate after participation which will be emailed. Winners will receive trophies and medals shipped for free[1]

Prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th place will be awarded for each of the 6 events in each of the 3 Age Groups.That’s 90 in total!

How many attempts do I get for each event?

A cuber will be allowed two (2)  attempts for each registered event. The average of 2 will be used to calculate the rankings in each event.

Events by Day – April 2023

Day 1 [15 April, Sat]: 2×2, 3×3, OH 2×2

Day 2 [16 April, Sun]: 4×4, Pyraminx, Skewb

Day 3 [TBD ]: Prize Distribution Ceremony TBD

Time slot: Select your 1hr slot while signing up. Make sure to select a slot on both days if you signed up for events that occur on both days.

For example, if you have signed up for 3×3, Pyraminx and 4×4, then you have to select a slot from Day 1 and a slot from Day 2

But if you only signed up for 3×3 or 2×2 or OH 2×2, you only have to select a slot from Day 1
